MEASUREMENT, GEOMETRY, AND SPATIAL SENSE
Standard 5: Students explore properties, relationships, and transformation of shapes and space using coordinate geometry and other representational systems.
G.5.1 Define and use drawings to differentiate geometric figures and objects and to identify their relationships to each other.
G.5.2 Identify properties of various geometric figures.
G.5.3 Construct geometric and algebraic proofs using inductive and deductive reasoning.
G.5.4 Prove and/or apply theorems about parallel and perpendicular lines, transversals, and angles.
G.5.5 Prove and/or apply theorems about triangles.
G.5.6 Prove and/or apply theorems about all types of parallelograms.
G.5.7 Explore congruence and similarity relationships of polygons or triangles.
